The Augusta County Historical Society presents an exhibit featuring quilts belonging to ACHS charter member J. B. Yount III, past president of the Historical Society and former mayor of Waynesboro. These quilts were selected from his family collection of approximately 60 quilts, coverlets, and pillows made by 8 women in his family.
An opening exhibit reception will be held on Thursday, February 5 from 4-6 p.m.
Paula Rau, exhibit curator, will give a talk on the significance of the collection on Thursday March 5, entitled: “Four Generations of Yount Family quilts, 1830- 1985” at 7:00 p.m. in the Smith Center History Gallery
